How to Connect Your Facebook Profile to your Facebook Like (Business) Page

This question has been filling up my Inbox for the last week so I thought I should address how to do it in a video!!

There are two methods that you can use to connect your Facebook Profile’s Employment Information to your Facebook Business Page or Facebook Like Page.  The first is very simple and you will probably either say “Oh Wow, That’s It!?!? Duh!”!  or “DAMN!  The easy way didn’t work but that is Ok, because Alicia will walk me through the more difficult way too!”

Please help me spread the word so that we can connect everyone’s page!  There is nothing more frustrating than clicking on someone’s page and it goes to this….

Easy Peasy Video… TRY FIRST!

Try ONLY if the first video doesn’t working for you!  Little more difficult…

Hi Marion! Did you hit enter after you typed in the number code, before you hit tab to go to the next section? Thanks for checking out the video! :)

    Hi All,

Thanks Alicia for the helpful tips. My clients are often wanting to combine their pages and this will certainly guide me through that. Personally, I like having mine separate. I never know when one of my friends or family members is going to tag me in an embarrassing picture from 1979. Keeping them separate helps my clients, or perspective clients, from seeing me in my early years. LOL

Here is a link to my Facebook “Like” page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Friesen-Virtual-Assistants/120883951290780 Please take a look and let me know what you think, give me a “like,” and post a comment. I love hearing from everybody!

    Many thanks,
    Kandace

I don’t have the add on button when I click your link. I only has a scree that says download. I tried that by saving to my system, but the button did not change to “add to firefox,” it still says “download.

    Hi Alicia:
Before I do this, I was just looking for some feedback as to what some of the advantages are to having your profile page and your business page connected.
The link to my page is: https://www.facebook.com/nonlawyerservicesofflorida
    I appreciate any page “likes”!!!!
    Thank you.

For me, it allows for the people I friend to like my page and see it! I have 1500 friends so this is nice to get “likes”. Also, if I am a suggested friend and they want to see what I do, it is a direct link to my business page! :) And I have my optin form on my page, so they can also opt-in to my list, which is a great!! Hope this helps! Xo, A

So I’ve had my facebook profile for a while. (Just personal friends and I really only use it to see pictures of my nieces and nephews that the family posts.) I recently added a Page for my business http://www.facebook.com/paypalwebsites, but did it in a fresh browser to keep it away from my personal profile since someone said I should keep them separate. Now my facebook page doesn’t have a ‘profile’ attached to it and I’m told it’s a violation of facebook terms to have two different profiles. So fine, how do I go back and attach the two? I see everywhere on facebook how you shouldn’t be doing what I’m doing, but there is nothing about how to fix it. These videos show how to connect like an employer, but that’s not exactly what I need to connect… Thanks, chick. I love how you’re all over this social media thing.

Hi Julie! Thank you so much for reading my posts! I love to hear from my readers!

Is there anyway that you can add your personal page as admin so that it is tied into a profile? I think no, because you have no profile to friend a friend on but wanted to ask). It is simple to go forward, but going back is usually difficult.

You might just be better off setting up a new one connected to your profile, this can give you the opportunity to connect with your current “likers” and offer them some type of incentive if they move over with you!?

Let me know what you decide to do or if there is anything you would like me to go over on my blog!

      Xo, Alicia
